About Me

BIO

I have a BA in Linguistics from the University of Chicago and an MA from Bank Street College in New York City. I began teaching in 1985 and taught in Ridgewood, Chicago, New York City and Montclair before coming to Franklin Lakes in 1997. I have taught PreK, kindergarten, first grade and second grade in addition to CSI and whole class enrichment lessons. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my kids and my dog. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, knitting, reading, sewing, and making gingerbread houses.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

The second grade teachers hope to bring to your children a passion for learning. Beyond teaching them the academics, we wish to teach them persistence and perseverance so that the kids have the tools to tackle all of life's challenges. We want them to learn that hard work will help them achieve their goals, and enthusiasm makes all work FUN!
